kotak neo project

Building Search Visibility Through Finance Content

Kotak Neo is a platform for trading and investing that is designed to give traders quick and speedy access to markets. It facilitates trading across segments, such as equities and F&O, with features like options chains, screeners, and chart-based trading. Operating in a highly competitive financial space, Kotak Neo serves traders who rely heavily on search engines before making trading decisions which makes their organic search visibility a core part of how users discover and evaluate the platform.

The Content Challenge

It wasn’t just about creating a few pieces of SEO articles. Kotak Neo was interested in developing a “content connected” environment for the traders on F&O trading and regulations where they could get accurate and in-depth information.

The following were the requirements for content:

  • 25 in-depth, SEO-optimized articles
  • Average length of 1,200-1,500 words per article
  • Coverage focused on SEBI’s F&O regulatory framework and related trading topics
  • Research and fact-checking against official SEBI notifications
  • Targeting high-intent search terms
  • Maintaining depth and accuracy without compromising quality for volume.

The bigger goal was to increase the organic reach of the brand at scale and build Kotak Neo as a trusted brand for financial education.

Our Approach

We didn’t think of the assignment as 25 separate articles, but instead as a content cluster around trader intent.

The alpha and omega of the cluster was a 1500-word deep dive into the new rules issued by SEBI in the field of F&O trading. This is a flagship covering:

  • The top 5 regulatory updates
  • The effect on the retail versus institutional players
  • An extensive FAQ area for typical trader questions.

The supporting articles were then conceived around related topics and search behaviours to build a larger environment of information, and not single pieces of information.

All articles were subjected to editorial control of the same quality:

  1. Research
  2. Search Intent
  3. Clear Structure
  4. Balanced coverage
  5. Trader-focused FAQs

This helped to guarantee the quality for the flagship piece was reflected throughout the content library.

Search-led content architecture

All pieces were designed based on genuine search intent and often trader questions.

All 25 pieces of content have been done within the time frame allotted to Kotak Neo to launch its content hub.

The Intended Impact

The strategy was aimed at helping Kotak Neo:

  • Gather in target search volume on a massive scale.
  • Build topical authority throughout the F&O regulatory landscape.
  • Develop trust from high quality and non-promotional financial education material.
  • Develop several natural flows of information to the trading tools of the platform

The content library was created by bringing the regulatory education to the right moments when the users were actively looking for trading opportunities, making it discoverable.
